About the Project
The project consists of the construction of a marginal sheet piling and punching system for the Andamar shopping center in Veracruz. This work is essential for the protection of the coastal infrastructure and the stability of the land, ensuring that the shopping center is adequately supported and protected against environmental conditions.
Our Client’s Challenge
The client faced several challenges during the execution of the project:
Another common challenge in the application of sheet piles for marginal protection is the need to drive them through hard or rocky soils, which may require pre-drilling or the use of specialized machinery. In addition, in some cases, the presence of existing structures near the work site may complicate installation and require an adapted design.
Our Approach And Solution
To address these challenges, the AZ 14 770 sheet pile system, which offers high strength and durability, was used. A geotechnical analysis was performed beforehand to adapt the design to local conditions. The sheet pile installation was carried out efficiently, ensuring the necessary stability for the shopping center. Special attention was paid to the junction with the existing wall, achieving a smooth and continuous transition. Detailed planning and the use of specialized machinery allowed the project to be completed on schedule, ensuring client satisfaction.
